Disaster Prevention Fair in Machida City, Tokyo

Machida City holds a Disaster Prevention Fair twice a year on Disaster Prevention Day and Disaster Prevention and Volunteer Week, with the aim of spreading disaster prevention knowledge and raising disaster prevention awareness among citizens.

In this year's Disaster Prevention Fair, photos from the Great Hanshin ・ Awaji Earthquake will be exhibited to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the disaster, as well as displays on stockpiling at home, supplies needed during home evacuation, and life in evacuation facilities, focusing on the first three days after the disaster.
