私はLAに住む40代半ばの独身女性です。
最近リタイアメントライフの事をよく考えるのですが日本帰国も私の選択肢に入るのか答えが出せずにいます。
こちらでの生活は約25年で最近は日本に毎年行くのですが2,3週間なので生活感は掴めきれません。
仕事はウェブ系の技術者なので給料は普通の事務職を上回る額を貰い経済的に問題はありません。しかし日本では長時間労働で給料も決して高くない若い人たちばかりの業界だと聞かされ、自分の経験と技術を活かせる仕事は日本では無いと承知してます。
日本の年金に相当する401kやSocial Securityはたかが知れていますし、日本に戻った場合に全額支給されるのかは不確かです。
持ち家を賃貸に出すとしても維持費と税金を差し引くと日本での毎月の生活費としてはまだ足りなさそうなので、なんらかの収入は必要になります。
こちらから長期滞在をされてから帰国された方も多々いるようですが、やはり駐在としてこちらにいた方が多いのでしょうか？
50歳以上の独身女性が仕事を辞めて日本に帰国したらどんな生活になるのかが想像つきません。
