The "Kuri Matsuri" is an annual autumn festival held on September 27 ・ 28. On the day of the festival, the approach to the shrine is lit by ethereal andon lanterns, and many stalls are set up selling chestnuts and other treats.

The Autumn Festival is a festival originating from the founding of Musashi Soja Rokusho Shrine Gotaigura on September 28 ( 1738 ), Genbun 2, and is held over two days on September 27 ・ 28 every year. 27 is the evening festival and 28 is the main festival.
The dedication of the lanterns was started in 1925 by the dedication of the members of the Taisai Kagura Koin. The festival is also known as "Kuri Matsuri" (chestnut festival) because the land of Musashino was suitable for the growth of chestnuts and chestnuts were considered important as a preserved food, and because chestnuts of high quality were harvested, chestnuts were offered to the Tokugawa family.
